By L.A. Times writer David Pierson's logic, the Accord would be an unnecessary gas guzzler. Why not force the Chinese to dust off their old bikes or make them walk?<br /><br />If anyone on earth wants to drive around in a Hummer, that's <b>their business</b>. They should spend their wealth as they see fit. <br /><br />The Chinese sure don't need a pious twitch, like Pierson telling them what kind of cars to drive. Next he'll be telling them to lose their designer clothing in favor of the old Mao olive drab jackets they used to schlep the streets in.
