This autocratic head of the FED did not believe in regulation. He stated that,"It was in the own self interest of the banks to regulate themselves". He created a fiscal policy of low rates and loose money. Greenspan, more than anyone else, is responsible for the US and worldwide fiscal crisis now developing. This certainly includes record home price declines after the bubble economy.
