China may block Hummer sale

Bad news for Hummer fans comes via this story at Marketwatch about the Chinese government blocking the sale of the GM brand to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industries.
It appears that Chinese authorities have some environmental concerns about the deal and have questioned the small company's lack of experience in the auto industry. Nonetheless, Sichuan Tengzhong is developing proposals to acquire the GM unit.
