Phil Gramm, one year ago today...

It's hard to believe how Phil Gramm could have been so completely, totally, fundamentally, crazy wrong one year ago today when he declared the recession to be just "mental".

I would expect nothing less out of this jerkoff. He is an economist and professor by training.
Between the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act deregulating CDOs and his wife Wendy's crony efforts to help Enron avoid regulation and scrutiny, this economic wrecking crew duo have probably cost the US economy over a trillion dollars.
And to this day they are arrogantly unrepentant and deny all responsibility for the damage they've caused.
They deserve to rot in jail longer than Bernie Madoff.
Complete gasbag. Makes me ashamed to be a Texan.
