Can you spot the giant sequoia?

A few photos from a hike last week in the nearby great outdoors of the Sierra Nevada Mountains - see if you can spot the giant sequoia.


That looks pretty - maybe off in the distance somewhere ... down the trail.



There it is.


The sign said that this one was somewhere in the top ten largest in size, but the stated ranking criteria escapes me at the moment and it doesn't appear on this list at Wikipedia.

It wasn't nearly as big as some of the ones in Kings Canyon National Park.

It kind of looks like the bottom of one of those Imperial Walkers on Star Wars or maybe the leg of a very large brown elephant.
