Many in the community knew that the retired fire chief was really an arsonist, but now the lady running for mayor wants to bring him back to help put out the fires that still burn.

We are way past hyper-irony, past super hyper-irony and now in ultra super hyper-irony.
how can we afford not to hire him? he's the only one that can save us, by spending our way out of debt.
just as long as we don't pay him in gold or euro's...
I still do not understand why the taxpayer should bail out anyone. These were grown adults that took out these mortgages. They gambled and lost. End of story.
As for Wall Street, they should get nothing as well because they CREATED the problem with their finalization of mortgages.
Wall Street collasping could be the best thing that could ever happen to this country.
I say let 'em all burn. For the rest of us that have been playing by the rules we will be forced to suck it up for them.
