Consumer sentiment and home prices

Not surprisingly, the curves for consumer sentiment and home prices have taken on about the same slope over the last year or so. 
Interestingly, there was a surge in optimism right around the time that year-over-year home price declines began back in late-2006 and early 2007.

Congrats, one of your charts got skewered by Junkcharts - didn't like 20 colors - but also had an interesting scatter chart offered as an improvement that you might like

Interesting chart, although, I don't think it's very surprising to see two markets signifiers with the similar arks. Especially since they are driven my the same market forces. Good work, none the less.
I almost left a comment at Junkcharts suggesting they change their name to "Chart Forum for the Analy Retentive".
