Dollar amounts quickly losing their meaning
Tuesday, October 14, 2008
With headlines like the ones shown below along with our $10+ trillion national debt and talk of next year's $1+ trillion deficits, government numbers are quickly losing their meaning.
Maybe that's a good thing.
If you reduce these numbers to levels that people can understand (e.g., a $10 trillion debt is about $30,000 per citizen) then it starts to sound really, really bad.
