This was up over at Paul Kedrosky's blog - hilarious! Recipes is my favorite ticker line.
Doesn't Tim Geithner and his big forehead in the still frame look like one of those characters from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? Is that The Daily Show's Rob Riggle behind him?

the scrolling ticker doesn’t bother that much. What does annoy me is those hideously obnoxious whooshing noises on CNBC -- Squawk Box, for example. Early in the morning and folks on TV talking softly then the kid in the control room -- in mid sentence -- hits this WHOOOSH button. It’s like listening to someone explain the intricacies of an iron-eagle option strategy in the middle of a Star Wars movie.
