And ... we are back

We've dug our way out of enough boxes and hooked up enough electronic equipment to let you all know that we've arrived safely in our new home of Bend, Oregon.
This is supposed to be the dry side of the Cascades but, so far, it's rained everyday. Everything seems less expensive than in California - gasoline, utilities, insurance, food, you name it. More on our impressions in a day or two as a regular schedule should soon resume.

Glad you made it safely! Must you torment me so with the photo!
Now I want to move!
Awesome Tim! Thanks for letting us know. I couldn't be happier to have you here.
You should move here to fish, it is truly a beautiful place.
Hey Tim, I just became system administrator of a website and I was wondering if it would be okay to shoot you an email to see what you thought and maybe ask for input/advice on what direction to go?
Sure.
Very exciting! Wishing you all the best with your new home.

We are having some very strange weather - but this storm is huge.
The offspring has weather for his city (Rancho Cucamonga), Lake Havasu, Klamath Falls and Portland on his iPhone and he said yesterday when he was cycling through them, every city showed thunderstorms and rain. This weather is coming on shore at about San Diego and circling up counter clockwise through almost Seattle.
