Going North
Wednesday, May 23, 2007
The computer gets packed away in an hour or two before the final tidying up and then we'll be headed north to live amongst the pine trees. There will be nothing new here until sometime next week, dependent upon how the travel and unpacking go.
Have a good Memorial Day Weekend everyone!
The Guess the Mid-Year Price of Oil and Gold contest that started about ten days ago is now available for review in chart form below. If you don't see a little blue diamond about where your guesses were made, please leave a comment or send mail.
There were a total of 33 guesses (actually, I forgot to put my own guess on the chart so you'll only see 32 above) and the average prices were $68 for oil and $687 for gold.
At this early juncture (and virtually meaningless, but still fun to do), the devilish guess of $66 and $666 by Blue Event Horizon is in first place, a scant combined 1.38 percent away from the current prices of $65.54 for oil and $661.50 for gold as this is written.
The last time this contest was conducted, over a ten week period ending in December, the oil price ranged from $56 to $63 and the price of gold moved around from $590 to $650 - about ten percent in both cases.
This time? We'll see.

So, when can we come visit? ;^)
Good luck with the move, buddy. Congrats on finishing the old chapter, and good luck with the new on. Peace.
Spam on Tim's blog? It is "good written."
Did I miss it? How far north are we talking about here. I hope you at crossed the boarder so that you won't have to move again in a few years, but maybe you found one of those great little places. Please inform.
We're in Calaveras County, CA
