Don't buy stuff you can not afford

Links to this Saturday Night Live skit keep popping up in different places and it just never seems to lose its appeal. A mortgage-specific version is anxiously awaited - if anybody knows of one, please leave a comment below.

During the news segment on the same program where the "Get Out of Debt" piece first aired (early in February of 2006), came this comment regarding Alan Greenspan's retirement the week before.

On Tuesday, Alan Greenspan retired as chairman of the Federal Reserve. When five o'clock rolled around, Greenspan did what he's done every day for the last eighteen years, he put on his overcoat, stuffed his pockets with thousand dollar bills, and casually walked out of the building.
